The 2017 Grand Old Picnic will be Sunday, September 17, 2pm – 6pm, in Georgetown’s Berry Springs Park. This is the Williamson County GOP’s largest Annual Grassroots event attracts several hundred each year.
Enjoy free hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixings in a family-friendly park with plenty of activities for the entire family. Many elected officials and candidates will be in attendance, and this is an excellent opportunity to meet Republican activists and leaders from across the county in a relaxed atmosphere. We need an accurate attendance count to ensure we have enough food, drinks, and such.
To RSVP, please send us an email with the number of adult and children attendees.
Railroad Commission Chairman Christi Craddick will be our special guest towards the beginning of the picnic.
An army of volunteers is critical to the success of the picnic. We need help with set up, tear down, serving food, preparing food, monitoring children’s area, and working the registraton table, among other activities. To volunteer to help with this year’s picnic, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message for Ronny Risinger at512-863-8481
All Republicans are invited to attend.
Question: What do we need to bring?
Answer: Seating can become scarce, so you may want to bring your favorite portable/folding chair. Sun screen, sun glasses, and such depending on weather might also be advisable. All food, drinks, plates, and plasticware will be provided.
